Thiruvizha nu vandaa....

I'm not an atheist. Going to temple or in general any place of worship would give peace of mind, alrite... Though not regularly, even i go to temple. But 'sometimes' v r literally tattered to pieces.... Tat "sometimes" now...During local car festivals or special religious ocasions (like the sani/guru peyarchi), all the devotees in the world seem to gather in one temple in which tat lord resides. Of course it's a common belief tat, once the 'parikaram' is done in tat place, the intensity of difficulties tat would befall them in the future would drop down. But are v really in the right track? The temples are jam-packed throughout the day and people spend the whole day waiting on a never-ending queue with the costliest 'archanai ticket', only to be beleaguered by the 'archagar' at the place of darshan. Is this all really necessary? The answer is of course subjective. One may argue tat, in times of festivals like diwali n christmas, it's one's duty to visit the temple. I'm definitely not saying tat is wrong. But how do v find peace when the possibility there is nothing short of a stampede??

I'm not really emphasizing on certain views or something like tat. I'm jus trying to find the correct (or atleast the most probable) answers.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT: The fact tat i was made to go round the 'praharam' 24 times by an archagar today, is in no way related to my writing this blog :-)

ha, the dawn has broke after a long time..
well, now you could feel why i dont truly believe in rituals. you know, a large of community of people all around the world need something to cling on to perform their day to day activities, and the term GOD comes to their call. reading the tamil philosophy, history you could know why these temples were actually built. i could sense your precarious position, not able to surmise whether to support or not the concept of divinity. well, id better write about it in my next blog.. have lots to say

I always felt peaceful to goto a temple in the afternoon, it gets very crowded in the evenings. It doesn't necessarily have to do with thiruvizhas in specific too.

i was made to go round the 'praharam' 24 times by an archagar today

I would give this as much importance as the last paragrah of a chain mail.

you are exactly whre i was last year, the direction is opposite,i strongly believe in self confidence and only in me,"You are what you do" thats the way i'd put it, remember one thing
Ms.suganya religion is beyond logic, its an unending journey if you probe religion with logic.
If you believe in god there is god to help you, it is not he who dictates how we worship him its WE, rituals are all one's own way of sending their message to god, believe in what you believe is the best way to snd your msg to god n do it.create your own if you like your way.

Hi ,

The reason for going to the temple on the special day (like guru, sani payarchi) to gather some power. because on that day only our solar system emitting some magnetic radiaion effect to some places in the earth. These places were identified by our munnor and they built temple in that places. it is scientifically true. so there is no sami and other things, if ur going to that places means u can feel free, because of that effect.

You know what...just try this something...Its a challenge but believe me you will be supremely happy if you can finish this task sucessfully..

The next time you go to a crowded temple, try and feel like you are alone and try to dissociate from the crowd around you...Concentrate on your prayers and close your eyes...just llet your mind focus completely on the prayers and try to visualize the divinity with closed eyes...

We all feel, that god is something like a showcase to be seen. If you have a sense of picnic going in temples, you would get irritated at the long standing ques. But think, all those persons standing in the queue have the same reason for coming to the tmple.
All our sufferings are created by us. we allow people to encroach temple lands, and later complain that the area is jammed by people.
As tightly said by a foriegner, inidans doesnt have a community sense. This is true from your blog.
If you want peace, you can go to any calm natural place like park, beach etc. But, people go to temples for getting more than peace.
